Floating Wetlands Project Presentation Tues. March 1

Phinney Ridge Community Council to Host Rob Zisette, President of FOGL to Talk About the New Floating Wetlands Project

The presentation on the new Floating Wetlands Project will be
Tuesday, March 1st, 7pm via Zoom.

The City of Seattle recently awarded a $50,000 grant to Friends of Green Lake (FOGL) to create two floating wetlands in the lake.  FOGL is an all-volunteer group of lake users, from both within and beyond the Green Lake neighborhood, working to secure a healthy lake for wildlife and recreation.

Friends of Green Lake is led by Rob Zisette, a nationally recognized limnologist with a company that has guided the water quality of Green Lake for over 10 years.  The FOGL team will need the assistance of dedicated local volunteers to meet the matching grant requirements.   https://friendsofgreenlake.org/floating-wetlands-project/
