Metro Long Range Plan Open Houses and Survey
Dear Community Partner,
Metro is beginning our second phase of outreach on the Long-Range Plan and we have teamed up with Sound Transit to host a series of joint Open Houses. The open houses will give King County residents a convenient one-stop opportunity to help shape two important planning efforts- Metro’s Long-Range Plan and Sound Transit 3. We have also updated our website with a lot of new information and created a new online survey to collect input from the public.
Help us get the word out about how to weigh in.

What input are we looking for?
Metro is asking the public to review projections about how communities in King County will grow over the next 25 years and tell us what types of transit service they think are best to get them where they want to go.
Metro has developed three maps showing bus networks that emphasize three types of service- express, local and frequent. The maps illustrate how each type of service would get people where they want to go and the tradeoffs between them.
The input we receive will help transit planners understand what types of service communities value, and will shape the proposed network of bus routes and facilities that Metro will present in the fall of 2015 for additional public input. The final plan will be taken to the public for another round of input in early 2016 and then transmitted to the King County Council in mid-2016.
